    The aussies are very well geared up for that info when you arrive.Go to the tourist info places they will put you onto contacts.
    Youth hostels in Aus are like hotels so go there.it is cheap,clean and social and central.The Sydney on is for 300 people.
    If you want info here than call Australia House in the strand london they will advise on work stuff travel etc etc

    go to melbourne
    if you can afford it play in the MCG (the biggest cricket ground in the world)
