The ICC Chamionship Trophy,& ICC World Cup, contested by all cricketing nations,or The Ashes(played only between England & Australia.) The first two are much bigger then your baseball league as it involves quite a few countries. On a scale our domestic competitions would equal your baseball league,i.e. played between all states of Australia.Australia is World Champion cricket nation at present and has been for some years.
Well as to that, every country will name their own, but as Australia are world champions, then you would have to say we have the best players! Our domestic comps are very strong, but English counties are also strong as many overseas players play there in their own off season. So maybe England would have the better domestic set up.

In any other sport, domestic competition (or clubs) pay heavily for High profile player. And there are only a few international competitions. But in cricket, Cricketers get paid more for International matches than domestic tournaments.
The Domestic competitions in England & Australia involve high profile cricketers. Now the T-20 competitions are the new dawn. Almost all countries will organise domestic competitions involving all the big name players. And the money involved could be considered equivalent to the NBA or European Football leagues.
Mark these terms
IPL (Indian Premier League)
EPL (English Premier League) of cricket, of course.
Stanford 20/20
Champions League of cricket
The IPL is already a big success.

I dont think so cause baseball is a boring game with some complicated rules.
It is equals to International Cricket cause Americans loves their Domestic matches more than International matches in TV.(due their large TV viewers in America)

Triple Question Mark, do you know anything about baseball at all? Maybe you should do some homework before mouthing off.
The Stanford 20/20 was DOA and wasn’t world class play. The IPL is probably the domestic league with most eyes on it these days. The analogy is tough to make because, hypothetically, the highest level of competition is international matches organized by the ICC. So if you’re talking “generally considered the level the game at top-flight players are measured,” I’d say it’s being picked to represent your country. If you’re talking, though, “a domestic league with franchises that the rest of the world pays attention to,” it’s probably the Indian Premier League. Though in the past many of the best players from other countries would compete in County Cricket, playing for teams representing England’s counties, that may be changing with the IPL.
