BRISBANE, Australia — Former Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardena has achieved the Number 1 ranking in the Reliance Mobile International Cricket Council?s (ICC) Player Rankings for Test batsmen for the first time in his career after an epic double-century in the drawn first Test against India at Ahmedabad earlier this week.
