I am 18 now….I go to a cricket coaching centre and m performing very well…But i want to know how to get into first class cricket? Where should i go and prove my talent? Is there any corruption, money or influence involved? One of my friend, who was a very good player recently quit cricket sayin that unless you have money or powerful inflence, u can’t go up in Indian cricket. Is it true? To what extent is the selection system to first class cricket corrupted?

Frankly speaking – if you are outshine in any league games consistently you will be noticed and observed. In order to be selected even for the first class cricket teams, one needs to have that potential as well as big-time performance. If you do not have it and be an average player then forget it. The only option is definitely by bribing which still goes on. Remember that Maharashtra cricket(Kale?) and his mom who wanted to bribe the Indian selectors only to be caught. This happens all the time. Even political and powerful influence cannot get you through if you are average player – but if you are above average there is a good chance with money and influence. To be more visible, you need to be in top local clubs and perform.
I do not doubt a bit about your friend who quit cricket. It is sad, but you should encourage to play on in the club teams and who knows on your lucky day – you may get a chance. But keep in mind – the chances are less but nothing wrong in keeping high hopes, but you need to qualify the set goals.

Players like CrXssfire who are fit for only carrying water and cleaning the toilets of the dressing rooms belonging to other cricket players would be given a chance.
Its THAT corrupt. So better give up your chance

Typical of india as a nation really, isn’t it? No wonder it’s still a 3rd world sh1thole governed by a bunch of corrupt thieves wearing poorly fitted suits.
